WEATHERFORD HUMBLED TO BE  RE-ELECTED


WESLEY CHAPEL - State Representative Will Weatherford was re-elected to serve House District 61 upon being the only candidate to qualify by the deadline of noon today. Representative Weatherford was allowed to qualify after more than 1,000 voters showed their support by signing petition cards for his reelection.

"I am deeply honored that I will have the opportunity to serve the citizens of Pasco and Hillsborough counties for another term," said Representative Weatherford. "Having grown up in this community, I'm honored by the great privilege it is to carry the views and ideals of my constituents to Tallahassee. The lack of an opponent doesn't mean I am taking anything for granted. I know people are struggling financially and my goal is to continue to find ways to ease burdens and increase opportunities for everyone so that Pasco and Hillsborough counties can be the best place to live, work and raise a family."

House District 61 spans Pasco and Hillsborough counties.
